This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

I think maybe someone came in after him, too. I've got a picture of mitch coming in, but don't know how to post it.

I sure hope they keep this GPS thing next year (and get more mushers to go with it). It's been really exciting to have that to watch. Before, all we had was checkpoint data and that really doesn't tell the story. With the GPS, I could really "see" what was going on far better than ever before.

I've also got one with the whole dogteam from the bssd cam. I'll try to figure it out.

sbd,
Save the Nome photo to your computer first. Then in this forum, click on image and look at the bottom of the message screen. Click on upload attachment and browse your computer for the image. Then click on add the file and then Submit the message. That's what works for me.

Wow, I was expecting more of a lag before the next musher arrived. Guess not...
