There’s no business like snow business, like no business I know!
Jeff is sliding down hill on a hay bale!
Martin’s flying high above the ground!
Madsen pushes onward like a big snail…
And the mercury is rising all around!

There’s no business like snow business, just run when you feel low!
Doggies running’s such a pretty sight to see,
(Watch out for that low-hanging tree)!
Sigrid’s face is bruised again (glad it ain’t me!)

This ditty is sung to our own beloved anthem "The Iditarod Trail Song" With my most humble and heartfelt apologies in advance to Hobo Jim!

Well, way up in Talkeetna,
with it's beautiful Downtown.
There's a dog race musher who lives just outside town!
But I'm sad I fear,
Cuz she's not here this year,
and gaining ground without fail.
She's not on, She's not on, She's not on, the Iditarod Trail!

CHORUS: Oh she's got a great team,
and a great lead dog,
But she needs a sled built fine,
I love to watch her run to Nome,
She's my favorite Everytime!
But this year she's not in the race and it's a very different tale,

Watching this race won't be easy,
without Mel on the Trail.
And I won't see her dog Yuppie
And he won't wag his tail.
Now just to watch Mel race, always cheers me without fail,

when her sled began to fail,
