How do you feel about the modernization of the race and do you ever miss the old days when things were rougher and more primitive?

"How/where do you go to the bathroom. AND, do you carry toilet paper in your sled?"


Don't flog me for that one. Every kid wants to know. Chalk it up to Jr. High Silliness today!!!

Here are some other ones that are sort of kid oriented:
They talk about snacking dogs. What types of snacks do you feed them? How is this different from 'feeding' your dogs? How often do you do each?
What are some strategies you have for avoiding animals on the trail?
Why do some sleds seem to have seats and others just runners?

I'll keep thinking.

I feel your pain about testing Flower!!! I work with 22 school districts and we had a meeting yesterday. All of the counselors were sooooo stressed!!!

I've got some questions, but it's not to a musher but to any of the vets involved in the Iditarod:

How do you go about checking the dogs at the CPs when the conditions are often less than ideal? What are the most usual reasons for a dog being dropped? And does it happen often that you take a dog out of the team against the mushers wishes?

I think it would be nice to hear the opinions of the vets, they do a fantastic job.

for some of you that are wondering here are some of the questions we came up with:

how do you feel about your dogs?, do you think that they are ready?
does the starting order have any importance to you?
are you one one of the musher that is being tracked by the GPS this year?
