Anyone near Appleton, Wisconsin - take note

Postby emwcee » Thu Sep 24, 2009 8:49 pm

Anyone live near Appleton, WI? Dallas Seavey will be speaking September 25 - that's probably TODAY for anyone reading this.

Here's a link for more info:

http://appletonhub.postcrescent.com/art ... 7/90916055

Summary follows.

And in case you're wondering how I find all this out: I have a google alert set up for "Iditarod" and I get lots of interesting links. Just go to http://www.googlealert.com (I think it's now called giga alert, but the link still works)

Here's a summary:
Seavey, the youngest Iditarod competitor ever, will share stories from the trail on Sept. 25 as the 2009 Charlotte Bates Fenlon Memorial speaker, an annual series benefiting Mosquito Hill Nature Center.

The program will begin with the showing of a J.J. Keller video of the 2009 race from 6 to 7 p.m. at the J.J. Keller & Associates company auditorium, 3003 Breezewood Lane, Neenah. Seavey speaks at 7 p.m., and a reception follows. Seating is limited.

Tickets are available for $15 by calling Mosquito Hill Nature Center at 920-779-6433 or at the Outdoor Outlet, 200 Mall Drive, Appleton.
