Internet in McGrath

Postby feyer » Mon Feb 25, 2008 7:40 am

We'll be traveling to McGrath to catch the teams as they come through that checkpoint, and I'm debating whether to take my laptop or not. Does anybody know what internet options are available in the town. Any wireless hotspots?

Hey,

You may want to try contacting the Iditarod Area School District, and ask if they have any idea who would know how to get connected in McGrath. However, it is not a school district that we have worked with in the past very much, so I don't know many contacts there. I would not assume that they will let you connect at the school...but they may know the ins and outs of getting hooked up in that community.

Thanks for the tip. It turns out they have a wireless hotspot available at the Iditarod Area School District building there.

Feyer,

Saw you helped "Fruffy" out with this on the ITC forum's thread on this question, and fully agree with you that McGrath is not too "rough" for laptops :)

Anyway, it was nice of you to help he or she out.

Regards,

Johncn
