SBT Interview - Teacher on the Trail

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

SBT Interview - Teacher on the Trail

Postby Johncn » Tue Feb 26, 2008 12:32 pm

Hello,

The BSSD IditaProject coverage starts today 8-)

The Iditarod Teacher on the Trail for 2008, Jane Blaile, was interviewed about 30 minutes ago at the ASTE conference in Anchorage. Mia did the interview and the editing. We will be using this forum in addition to our other sites to announce new clips this year. The turn around time from video to posting will be much, much shorter. Update: Reduced file size to 6 MB.

Jane Blaile, 2008 Teacher on the Trail

Thanks, Mia for a great report. I only missed one question when the mic did not get moved fast enough, but interviewing with only one mike is like walkie- talkie work when only one person can talk at a time and it's hard to stay together when you are going back and forth in conversation. On another note the BSSD logo is hard to read at the intro/exit, maybe a little larger type would help. The TOTT program with the then Teacher on the Trail, Dianne Nye years ago, really got me understanding how the race can/should be used in schools throughout the states. thanks again for the report...GOOD JOB.

Mia for a great report. I only missed one question when the mic did not get moved fast enough

Hey, the question you missed was 'What motivates you?' Sorry, I forgot to give her back the microphone!

Anyway, thanks for all the comments everybody!
