This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Sitting in the city centre of Oslo wondering if there are any reports yet of which dog Kjetil has left behind?

Kjetil has rested at Rohn since 17:41, meaning he has rested for 7hr 30 mins so far. In 2004 he rested for 8hr 40mins. Will we see him leave Rohn soon or will he keep the same schedule as in 2004. This should give us an indication on his strategies for the race.
I keep hitting F5 to see if he mooves.
Hi there Thin ice. Haven't seen anything on the web yet. Hopefully Trude or Yngve will feed us some news from the trail soon...

Hello, Thin Ice. Me too... Don`t know which yet. Maybe Kjetil is taking his 8 hour in Rohn? What do guys think? He was first in to Rohn so I am very optimistic still.

I think he is sticking more or less to same strategy that he used in 2004, that is for now anyway. Going to be interesting to see what he has planned for the rest of the race.

And that strategy worked out just fine, except for that tragic incident with "Takk". He`s sticking to his plan.

I really have a good feeling about this. He's building up a good reserve of sleep now, and still stays in front. Will probably push hard to Nikolai, have a short 3-4hours there and then push for McGrath. Right now I feel that the others are watching out for him, that's always good feeling for him!!

I hope you are right
Not much work being done today, I'm afraid. The forum and the stats work like magnets on me.
