Cripple Checkpoint #1

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Yes, but not if it has cost him too many hours off Lance and Jeff... Lance must be doing a long, trip to Ruby in one push. This is maybe his bold move to get those hours needed to become the rabbit?

And he'll get a real tired team

Ok, I'm back. Nice to see stats are up to date. Shows Kjetil out just half an hour behind jeff! And only (!) four hours behind Lance and with 4,5 hours more rest (roughly). Nice! Hope stats are correct...

But his lack of speed since departure is a clear sign that something is not right. The GPS Signal started moving around 0320 AM, but his listed out of Cripple at 0100 AM. The stats is probably wrong, but since he started moving he have already stopped 3 times.... something is not right.... sorry to say, but I've got a bad feeling....

I agree with you Luna. Latest update on Ionearth also show that Aron is catching up with Kjetil. He is making us worried, that is for sure :o :?

You have to be worried at least ONCE during I'rod, or else it wouldn't be normal :-)

Let's get finished with the worries now, instead of taking the burden on the SafetyNome-leg :-)
