This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

I have an irrelevant question to ask: has-a-first-to-the-Yukon ever said "sorry, there's competition right behind me!" and kept moving, passing up the meal?

Poor Lance was sitting there forever answering people's questions while his mushroom terrine got warm and his raspberry crepes got soggy, and I was imagining Jeff King quietly going through...

You can`t help but like that Lance Mackey. He`s a funny guy! I still hope Kjetil wins though...
Kjetil is probably in Cripple rihgt now. Wonder what took him so long? Team Norway have some "reporters" waiting for him there, I am expecting a long article from
http://www.hurdal.com coming up. Eager to have some news now...
