what does GPS stand for?

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

what does GPS stand for?

Postby tanglefoot » Wed Mar 05, 2008 2:48 pm

ive noticed - as i mentioned on another thread - that the GPS (gobal puppy sightings) device has taken away all the WLBR (Waiting for Leader Board to Refresh) fun of waiting for it to up load and has hence robbed us of our usual SSC (stir-stat-crazy) sillyness and fun threads...its all GTS (got toooooo serious) folks

so.. thought i'd inject a good old fashioned bit of FFF -franksforumfun

so what doyou think GPS really should stand for

for example

GPS = Golbal Puppy Sighting

or

Gebhardts Passing Sneekily

lets have some fun while the 24's start to kick in!

Gotta Pee Sideways?

Cuz I can't stop to take a leak without my GEE PEE ESS telling the world that is what I did?

count me SO NOT a fan of this particular use of "available" technology.

Be careful with the acronyms folks. People and cooperations use them widespreadly and soon there will be none left. Our grandchildren will never forgive us. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
