GOOD MORNING IDITABUDS

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Good morning! The first three teams have reached Kaltag some hours ago, and the next will be there in a couple of hours. In Norway Ola Brennodden Sunde is leading Finnmarksløpet, and Dallas is into Levajok as 4. Here in Oslo is "Holmenkollsøndag" (Holmenkollen Sunday) the big happening, with skiing competition and thousands of people watching.

Inger, what a beautiful little dog and she/he has picked a good spot.

It's no wonder the Norwegians do so well in winter Olympics.

Good afternoon Europe and good morning America.

Morning all

Anukf cant get on the buds forum due to internet issues but she did ask me to send this to you all

Just had dinner with Dan Wetzel who helped found Yukon Quest. Fascinating man - stories of running dogs in the 1930s . . . Really!

He asked to stay in touch. I asked if it's okay to pass his details to you as a UK musher and he was very pleased for that to happen.

Do you know anything about him?

My run / rest schedule kicking in now. Need a few hours sleep before my next shift in the Comms room at midnight. x

Thanks tangles, I've been wondering if they were keeping her so busy she didn't have time to post.

I bet there is a 'bud or two on the forum who know Dan Wetezl. :D

Morning all! I'm at home with a not-feeling-well-kid. Meaning I will not be able to catch up on much...

Good morning! Here in Oslo we got a lot of snow this night!
Nic is first to Shaktoolik, Joar and Mitch are on their way. Peter Kaiser and Ray Redington JR are only 8-9 miles behind Mitch...
