Campaign for Mithious and Spirit

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Mith, missed your comment the other day about filling folks in about our joke, so here finally is the explanation.
I am in a wheelchair as well and find it difficult to travel. It is nearly impossible to find out info about accessibility and about hotels, attractions, etc. I am trying to put the frustration to good use though by creating a website for handicapped travelers. The laugh Mith and I were sharing is that the name of the website is Trips for Crips. I decided that we just as well be totally up front about it. The other reason is that lots of businesses advertise that they are ADA compliant and have handicapped accessibilty. What they have may well meet the letter of the law, but not the Spirit (a plug for our canine buddy), so we are going to have a site that has reviews and recommendations and will be free for anyone to use. We are still working on it and doing some test posts, but look for http://www.trips4crips.com to be up and running soon! Greg
