LIVE Public Skype Chat

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

LIVE Public Skype Chat

Hey all!

We are now using Skype for public chat. Click on the link below to check it out. You will need the latest version of skype, but it is worth it. We will be using this for fielding questions while doing live broadcasts, but feel free to use it now.

Yes, Skype is free and and the best of the text messaging apps that work on Windows, Macintosh and Linux that I've tried:

Hey Tangles,

Although you can use if for audio and video chat, we most often usually use the text chat and file transfer. Every teacher and principal in our district uses it to keep in touch, move files, and so on.

Damon likes the new Skype public chat, but we also have the same chat room we used last year that is linked to the top of the Mushing Forum. Just wanted to offer multiple options since some people prefer one interface over the others.
