While waiting for the teams arrival in Whitehorse I started to clean up. Seems like there has been several parties going on here! Including some wild amounts of spider webs!

But I cleaned them all out, chopped some wood.. It was quite hard to get the fire burning, I think the wood was a bit damp, but now it's ready! I also put put the lantern.

I leave some hot chocolate and wipped cream for anyone in for sweets.

You know moose will be pleased the spiders have been chased out. Fire is nice, how about a cup of hot chocolate. Do you float marshmallows on yours in Norway mira?

Brent is almost to White Horse, about 4 miles out. Good for him but sad for Michelle, they had quite a race going between them.

Stopped by today,
Started to get ready as 9 days left!

Chopped more wood
Filled the coffee jars
Fridge loaded with pizza and yummy stuff
Stove cleaned out and got it lit to warm the place out
Spiders are all recamped in the outhouse
Lucky booties hung up
Mutluk drying rack repaired
Snow shovelled from the sled parking area

Should be ready to race!

ooooo thanks for all the hard work done here :D

So I've stirred the stove and put more wood in it, had a lovely hot chocolate, put more whipped cream in the fridge, listened to some lovely music and meditated on the mutluk drying rack . . .it just sort of drew my attention

Checked on the spiders' new home in the woodshed and it looks fine. Left some emergency dog-food for unexpected team stops. :)

Ahh, Mira! It looks like you missed a spidey there. A BIG one. With the weather warming a bit and the days getting longer, the spiders are on the move. I don't want to hear anything from anyone, but I had to squish two last night. One was sidling toward me on the floor, halting forward progress when he saw me seeing him. The other was high on a wall, waiting to leap at an appropriate spider moment. Rest assured, FDF, I will NOT be visiting the outhouse! I'll just hold it as long as I can, then zip to my own spider-less bathroom, if you please.

Still flipping a coin trying to decide whether I should go with Insider this year. It does add to the excitement of the race. I haven't enjoyed it as much the years I didn't make the purchase. And a little excitement would be nice. Flip...flip...flip...!

I will get the Insider because as a mod I shouldn't depend on someone else to give me the news. Just my opinion about me only.

And thanks for the reminder Moose ;)
