POT LUCK PARTY IN THE BREAKERS BAR AND GRILL

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Expecting "weather" here tonight and into tomorrow as well, Di. Spent the day getting ready, moving snow around, chopping ice, raking the roof. I don't know about you, but I'm in the mood for spring!

Eggy bread was a favourite when my kids were small. Come to think of it, it still is even though they are all grown up :D

Morning fans! It's now afternoon here, thanks to "spring forward" so I thought I'd set out a bit heartier brunch. I whipped up some garlic cheese grits, biscuits with huckleberry jam, warm bacon and some over easy fried eggs. Enjoy!

Back from Savannah... 4 days until Japan. I think I may be getting as sleep deprived as the Mushers!! But finding time to check in as I am able.

Oh my. So grown up! And Bailey is so much taller than the boys. They'll catch up, but I bet she's enjoying it for now. :D

I was kind of expecting to see Frozen here today with his drum to celebrate Pete's win! Sorry if the purple streamers get in the food. They are my exuberance about Jessie's awesome run! I'll stoke up the stove while I am here.
