POT LUCK PARTY IN THE BREAKERS BAR AND GRILL

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Thanks All! Elwood is home and resting, er, whining, in his crate. I had the donut and it didn't work well for him, and he chewed through 2 T shirts yesterday. So for now he is stuck with the cone of shame. I might run by the kids' resale shop tomorrow and get a couple of more shirts. I think in a few days I might be able to let him outside in one. She was hoping to just cauterize it off, but when she got into it found a couple of big blood vessels that were feeding it (which explains why it grew so quickly). So she had to put in some sub-q sutures and skin staples, which means I have to keep him from trying to pull out the staples for the next 2 weeks.

Poor Elmwood! What a mess!

I will be popping in and out. I am on overload. Finishing my doctorate, working, and taking care of my mom who is recovering from illness. She is much better!

Miss you all! Hope I can keep up here. Trying to skip the Insider subscription this year.

Good to see you CynCyn, lots of us are depending on elsie and others who have the insider to keep us up to date. They are very generous with their time.

OK, after two days of floor tiling in the master bathroom, (not done yet), I'm declaring my 24 in the BB&G. Please don't tell my "handler" where I am! There is a 24 pack of Guinness, in the snowbank next to the firewood pile. I'm sure there will be a few (reads as "more than two") left.
Proud PaPa of the triplet litter; Aidan (B), Bailey (G), and Cameron (B). Cameron is on top in picture; Bailey, of course, is the bowhead!!

Hey ladies, I thought our place here needed some sprucing up. You recall how much we've always liked UPS men in shorts, well I have just the thing. Got it framed and hanging it up right now! Let me know what you think!

(Sorry, but google came up short when I entered "hot UPS man in shorts"! )

       Well, that certainly got my morning going! I'll just park these strawberry scones (fresh picked berries from the farm down the way) here while I struggle to regain my ....ahem....composure.
