"Mith & Spirit in Alaska - Continued"

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Wonderful Mith! :D :D This is the kind of news I've been waiting and hoping for. It definitely seems like a step - or several steps - in the right direction. I'm glad you were able to talk to Chas and that the conversation was positive and productive. I hope the call brought you some peace knowing you're helping make a difference in the lives of others.

Yes, please keep us posted on any developments. And please let us know when that website for disabled travelers comes online. It appears you can now give the Iditarod a 'thumbs-up' for travelers who want to attend. Yay!!! :D :D

Hi Breeze,
Had to add a joyous AMEN! to your post. I have truly enjoyed getting to know everyone on this forum. Imagine--I once just read you all on Cabelas, and now I'm feeling right at home and chiming in from time to time.
