Unalakleet, here we come! Unalakleet Checkpoint #1

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Man, Lance is stellar, beyond tough, just so cool...just can't find the right words! So hoping he can pull this off....with Jeff drafting off of him, wish Lance could somehow get the upper hand here!!! :|

I just got to play a bit with the Unk cam. Presently in Unk, according to the stats, are Kelley Griffin, Karen Ramstead, Robert Nelson, Benoit Gerard, and Allen Moore. Though I could see a lot of folks moving around, tending to dogs, I couldn't pick anyone out. It's cool in any event to see them going about their tasks.
