Need Positive Thoughts

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. Thank you all for the support! They are home from ER, hopefully it is just a sore/strained back. We took a long walk through the woods yesterday, and she loves to wrestle and jump and play frisbee. Hopefully some pain meds and rest will fix her up, and it's not anything more serious. She's sleeping under my feet right now! Whew, good to have her home, :D I was really worried-thought it was a belly ache, and just kept thinking about poor Governor. :(
You guys are the best though. Gives me a good excuse to sit here at the computer to keep her resting all day!

Like you NEED an excuse, Flower! :D Seriously, though, good news on little Opie. Hold those long, silky ears between your fingers and give them a little rub for me. Healing energies still beaming her way.

Thanks, she is enjoying the extra attention! Your right, I don't need the excuse to sit here, but it works well for the rest of the family. But honey...I have to keep Opie quiet! ;)

Oh Flower,

So glad to read the good news, that it isn't something worse. :)
Those long basset backs can sometimes hurt.
Sending soft, soft pats to her velvert ears.

BTW all puppies are cute, but in my eyes basset puppies are the cutest ;)

Me too! Darn hounds! Couple of weeks ago, the other hound, Elwood, decided to eat one of my daughter's socks. Don't know why, he is VERY well fed, but anyway...I discovered it after he had chewed about half of it--just one of those lightweight anklet things, of course took it right away, while explaining to him what a bad boy he was. Next day, I was outside with them, and noticed he was licking at his tail and walking hunched up. Went over to check him out and found half the sock hanging out of his butt! :o  I gave it a tug, but it didn't want to seem to come out, and since he was quite distressed, off the the ER we went. (why is it always the weekend?) Well, the tech pulled it right out and they laughed so hard they didn't even charge me!
