Upcoming week's weather

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Upcoming week's weather

Postby coolhandred » Sun Mar 09, 2008 3:52 pm

I just checked the forecast for the ending stages of the race and it looks to be smooth treking for all of the mushers.
Should prove to be a fast run to Nome. Who benefits the most? The musher with the freshest team.

Pretty damn wild here last night! Trees down left, right and centre...and one of my trailer tents ended up over the fence    Think the storm hit Ireland before heading over your way.

Keep safe guys, and hoping everyone is OK!

Well if your weather is following ours (which it often does) you should get some sunshine later, maybe this evening :)
Beautiful here right this minute!

Much calmer here....but still some strong wind weather warnings for tonight again :|
