This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

i meant that she shares in the fun and also watches out for me when i forget to eat.
believe me, i know all about the requirements for PAT certing...its a big part of what i do in my group, is helping folks make sure that they are not skimping on that training. in some ways, its almost more important now than task training, with all the problems with idiots slapping vests on their pets and calling them 'service dogs'. i am all for national PAT certing of owner trained SDs, given all the problems i've seen and heard over the years.
