safety checkpoint #1

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

lance Est time to leave WM = 5pm AKtime
ETA nome (given a 10.5 hour run) = 3.30am AK time

add or subtract you time zone differance bearing in mind the day light saving thingy that went on. (+ or - 1 hour ) uk time GMT was 9 hours + but now only 8 hours+

norway i think (correct me if wrong) was +10 now +9....

give OR take an hour each way due to lances run times..but beware jeff could still catch and win over lance if any number of upsets occur!

sounds like Eskil may fall ill today with the 24 hr flu and have to stay home.
Maybe you will feel better later in the week.

That would make it 10.30 am UK time. Around the right time for morning tea and biscuits. Make sure the kettle is boiling Tangles  You do the water I'll get the tea bags....

(small matter of work, but there's got to be a way round this :o )

Ha! Domer, your message just in - see I knew there'd be a way round it
