This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Is the race over, or can Jeff still win?

I am not sure he believes that he will win, but ofcourse it is 70 miles to go and a lot can happend. He sure as h... wants to win though.
I think he will do his best and race as hard as he can hoping to catch Lance before the Burled arch.

I know, I see that, but I have been reading what the guy who is in charge of the GPS is saying, and they are not getting a good read off of Jeff's GPS, and he assures us that Jeff is not off coarse. But I would still like to know what is going on.

What's with the "Jeff King Estimated" stuff? Isn't he carrying a tracker? Is it not working properly? Hmm. I wonder why not.

Russ from Ion earth explains it, in the other talk forum. He thinks it is the way Jeff has his sled packed and things are falling on top of it. They are not getting a good read, so the have to estimate it.
