This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

The results are in. I hope I haven't missed any or did some other error (please let me know, I've tried to double check). I shown the time diff in (), this is only for sorting. It was a close race, more so than the race itself.. also many good guesses on the time. libby the lab was only 14 minutes from the correct time.. that's real impressive.
But.. as last year.. this years winner is
Bubba06.

Well, there you go! I had Mitch at No. 10. Figured he'd poop out at the end, making the Top 10, but only barely.
Oh, well. There's always next year.

I keep putting Aliy in to win. But then I don't pick with brain, plotting and figuring, I pick who I want to win. Tho she would have given your Seaveys a good run for the money if that terrible night hadn't happened.

Absolutely! And with such a young team too. I can't wait too see her come back next year and have a serious run at it. I think this year proved how serious a contender she is. New team and that terrible incident and she still rocks it.

Congrats BubbA! Somehow I managed a 3rd place finish, which is a personal best!

Woo hoo! Nice job Bubba!
* * *
This was a crazy year with such a weird crazy-ending top ten.
I'm guessing that *no-one* picked Scott Smith in their top ten
And if only Noah hadn't been slacking and polishing his nails* on that last run in from Safety, I could have beaten Eskil for 5th
(* he ended up poling with trail marker lathes). * * *
And as alwasy, thanks SO MUCH to Mira for her dedication to the contest. Gold star to her!!

Not too shabby, Flower! Congrats to you, too. And only one point put Crystal in second place behind Bubba! The competition was tight!
