This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Morning from sunny Norway, or at least Oslo! Time to catch up.
Sorry to see that my suspicion about koenig yesterday was correct

Love checking in early and seeing you have already been here.
Hi Alaska61, very good to see you posting, do you still live in Alaska?

Morning from foggy almost snowless MN! Been enjoying March weather in the 40's and 50's! Feels so good to shed all the layers and feel the sunshine. We have to have set a record for cloudy days this winter, so really happy when it is sunny. Hoping the fog burns off today...

Morning all from rainy soggy Texas! Just sat down for a quick catch up, before off on daily errands.

Greeting everyone! Grabbing a cup of coffee, taking my first serious look at the race. I know, sacrilege. Just busy wrapping up my own season. Missed the TTP and Fantasy Iditarod, which really bums me out. Good to see everyone here, looks like another fine race.

Still snow/ice on the ground here (Maine), but the temp is a mild 45F at the moment and the air has a warmth to it I haven't felt yet this season. Quite comfy to be on the dog deck in my jammies. Bullwinkle fed the dogs and let me sleep in this morning. Such a gift.
Wag more, bark less.
