Good morning!

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

If you send me your picks today I can score you with a little * on the scoring list (outside competitione/too late entry).. If you want to! Except.. I think "your" norwegian-heavy pick list looks good

Good morning! The mushers are almost to Finger Lake aka Winterlake Lodge (my employers' other lodge... I work at Tutka Bay Lodge). An Eye-on-the trail article about some Iditarod traditions at Winterlake are here:

Hi all...little slow on following the race for various reasons, but I don't see Mike Ellis and team running. Can some one give me an update on his absence?

Anyways, be checking in with you buds from time to time.

Hope Lisbet Norris has a good race.

Good morning buds!!
Incoming tea, crumpets, scones and chokecherry jam snacks.

Set a new speed record blowing thru chores etc to book it to the library as soon as it opened. :D
Whee .. rabbit speed pc for a few hours .. so much to catch up on and the dreadful steps/gorge gods await teams with twisted gaping maws.
Who will survive intact? Stay tuned.
We've got treats
