Good morning!

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

That Bullwinkle is a good guy, that was a real gift!

Yawn. Stretch. Off to work this morning. We had quite the thunderstorm last night, lots of "rolling thunder" so Elwood and Bekka were not happy campers. Whining and pacing until around 1:30, then everyone finally settled down. Waiting to see if the bug guy shows up. But I'd rather be sleeping. Oh well, off to check the stats. :o

I fed the dogs myself this morning, but they were kind enough to let me sleep in until 8:30. Everyone is spoiling me. I'm ready for a good and long race day. And don't these lyrics seem appropriate this morning:

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'
Though the streams are swollen
Keep them doggies rollin',
Rawhide

Move 'em on
(Head em' up!)
Head em' up
(Move 'em on!)
Move 'em on
(Head em' up!)
Rawhide!
