This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Ah, Lance hugging Larry and Hansom, Hansom just looks so happy, he's smiling and kissing dad!

SamAtUnk gets my vote for the Iditaward Abominomination for best supporting performance in a leading role. Sorry Sam, but Larry will probably get my vote for best LEADING performance. You may get a lifetime acheivement award however! It was amazing, what you did!!!

Great, you didn't let us down. Much better than a web cam. (One web cam gave up the ghost and the other apparently missed the arrival.)
Time for some shuteye,

Sam, are you going to be there for Jeff's arrival? Too bad II didn't hang around. Jeff's run a heck of a race, too. It might be nice to hear his take on things.
