It appears that Rainey Pass and the Dazell are the issue this year. OK snow for the start.

Rainy Pass and Dazell gorge are the usual suspects when it comes to too little snow, isn't it? I think none have forgotten that video from Jeff King a couple of years ago.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

The Iditarod *yawn* still has a race? Big whoop. The Yukon Quest is the one I'll be watching this year. That other one? They can go pound sand (or snow) with their ongoing Insider nonsense if they still have a race, still stiffing the fans, and still stiffing their sponsors by stifling exposure.

They should rename it the Stiffing and Stifling Spectacular, "SSS" for short. That's easier to remember and appropriate. Just sayin'...

Or, to be a little rad, remove the r, a and d from Iditarod, move the o to be between the i ant t, and presto... Perhaps that's an even better interpretation of the race's couterproductive "finance & marketing plan."

Was that SSS or $$$

I'll still watch and follow the I-rod because of the mushers and teams and all of you here, don't buy insider any more, waste of money for me.

It will mean running theough huslia again which is great, but feel really bumed for those southern towns that haven't seen the race for 4 years now and will loose much needed revenue from the race passing theough :(
