Yukon Quest Thread

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Love how Dwayne Beals is live streaming the finishers on FaceBook!! He has done an awesome job and I sent him a few bucks to cover fuel and data.

I loved Jessie's finish video, and the accolades she give to the Quest and how much she liked it. What a team she has.....and these are mostly yearlings!

Sorry I haven't been here much this race. I have been traveling (not Alaska, unfortunately) and have had limited access to the internet this past week. Missing you guys who aren't on Facebook. I have kept up with that. Hugs to all, and good luck picking the TTP for the Iditarod.

Uh oh - Sebastien took a wrong turn onto the Chena River and is currently headed *away* from the finish line (and closer to getting Red Lantern :) )

He's spotted his error and is headed back, but he's not going to beat Ben Good who's closing fast on the point where Sebastien took his wrong turn.

Sebastian is 9 miles behind, that's a way to secure the red lantern :)

They have 8 and 17 miles to go to the finish line! In a couple of hours yq 2017 is finished.
