This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!
thank you! i can relate to the long nap- arguing with the flu myself and after being up most of the night to try to see the guys come in, i've spent most of the day asleep!
thanks, cyn! been asleep most of the day, weird dreams and all, and whenever i would surface, i would find my fat lil MinPin, Flicka, curled up under the blanket with me, and our oldest son's collie, Diego (his autism service dog), cuddled up next to me... he makes a great heating pad! most of the day i had Anja curled up in her crate/nest next to the bed, Flicka under the blanket, and both the collies on the bed....only one of our dogs not in there was my greyhound, and he prefers to have the bed to himself, so he was out in the living room on his own!
I have said it before, but it's no shame saying it again. "Congrats Lance, you did it again, Quest and Irod champ in the same year". Your acievement is out of this world and you are truly an inspiration to us all showing us that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible
Great intervju, Thanks Tangels.
Frozen, Thanks for sharing with us. Your vast knowledge is so valuable to our group of iditabuddies
Tangles thank you so much for posting that interview. One reason I missed getting my TTP in was those two men. I am not the stats savy person like a lot in this forum are. I go with my heart. I wanted Lance GOLANCEGO to win for the back to back Iditaquest thing. Wonder ifthat record will ever be broken!? And I wanted Jeff King GOJEFFGO notice Cabela's green? to win, to get his 5th win.
