Dallas is moving after being at the cabin for 4 hours. That is a long rest for him. He must think his team is tired.

he has switched sleds and has no dog house provision on this one, stuff hanging off it like a gypsy caravan. he means business, the ski pole was out as he came in on top of his sled and is now on the new sled ready to go hanging off the seat by a hook.

wade came in asking questions about mitches rest, how long, when did he leave etc etc.

Ok folks I need a nap. Check out the video of Dallas and Joar at the shelter cabin. Dallas has given up on catching his dad and doesn't want to ruin his team to try and do it. Joar says Dallas is faster than me so if he doesn't think he can catch his dad then I don't know if I should try it. Both are out on the ice with Dallas in front.

Wade and Jessie have left Shak with Wade in front and are almost to the ice. Jessie's out time isn't posted yet so I don't know if she is still driving 16 dogs. I suspect she is. Wade said in a video that his leaders didn't have the head for a hard drive up the coast. He had to drop his main leader in Galena and his long time Iditarod leader retired this year so how he does depends on how well these young leaders of his handle the coast.

Further Back we still have Aily, Ray, Pete and Michelle making their way to Shak. I expect Ray to pass Aily and Pete to close the gap. It will be interesting to see what decisions these four make when they get to Shak.

Mitch says the last 10 miles into Koyuk were terrifying because of glare ice and jumble ice... but he was going 11 mph. lol

Main standings showing Petit in to Koyuk at 9:01 local - 2:23 behind Mitch - good pace at 8+ - anybody know how much rest he's put on his team? Interesting!

Mitch used one hour less than Nicolas over the ice. Mitch stayed for 2.5 hours and have 12 dogs. The standing says Mitch had an average of 9.7mph. That's impressive.

sounds like dallas has thrown in the towel towards catching good ole dad. joar sounds like he is questioning whether he should push to beat dallas and them both hope mitch's team balks and them sneek on by, ( unlikely ).

its getting exciting!
