NRK, Norwegian Broadcaster has produced several slow-TV programs the last 6-7-8 years or so. Right now they are following a move of reindeer from winter pasture to summer pasture, should take a week or two. They interview the ehrm.. sheperds.. or should we say reinherds? herdsman? Whole families is participating, dogs (used in the gathering of the herd), kids and everything, following along on snowmobiles. It's nothing you sit down and watch closely, but it's nice to look into now and then.

Don't know if it's available from abroad, anyone interested could try to go to https://tv.nrk.no/direkte/nrk2 (this always shows whats going on that channel, but these days its mostly reindeers) or https://nrk.no/rein.

I think this is a great sight! (and yes, that small line is the reindeers, going north)

Thanks, interesting. Got a close up of a snowmobile herding, then an action panoramic view of the migration.

Mira,
There was a feature piece on CBS Sunday Morning about SLOW tv last weekend.
It was very interesting,
Here is a link to the video.

Thanks mira and to klmobile thanks for the news link.
This might be a way to try learning Norwegian. The interviews sound very clear.

Thanks!

Perhaps Finnmarksløpet could qualify as a slow-TV, although they don't run that slow, they sleep and it takes a week. Hmm.. where can I suggest that, I wonder..
