Hurricane Harvey

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Well friends, I am off topic, but if any of y'all might want to offer up a few good wishes for us here in the coastal bend of Texas, we would sure appreciate that.. High and dry so far in Corpus... we are buttoned down and riding this one out, with luck :D

Be safe Happy. If it blows you up to Austin we have some Iditabuds to hold your hand until you return to Corpus Christi.

Hope all Iditabuds are safe. And the rest of Texas also. Scary news on line. Hurricanes are exciting to go through but so deadly if you are in the path.

Thanks libby, we have a few Iditabuds scattered around the state.

Stopped at Costco tonight to pick up some meds I had called in Sunday. Oh my goodness, the parking lot was full, the gas station was full, there were no carts in the storage area, the lines in the store at checkout were looooong and many, the bread racks were empty except for a few packs of pita type bread. Boy am I glad the pharmacy only had one person in line ahead of me. I could have used a full tank of gas but will stop by oh dark early on Thursday with hopes to get some without the long line. People in this area are buying early maybe after seeing what happened in Texas.

Pray for Puerto Rico and all the other islands in Irma's path.
