Yukon Quest, discussion

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

It's on the Yukon Quest Facebook page. Near the top. Click on it and get the whole banquet. I watched it yesterday, and really enjoyed it all! The sound was kind of echoing, so I put in a good headphone and it was much better.

Cross posting this here:

Found a photo cache from Jay Cable (Iditabiker) where he biked from Chena Hot Springs to Eagle during the Yukon Quest - great pics of the trail, trail conditions, and mushers (and their apparent yard sales - wondering who owned the snow shoes... guessing another musher grabbed them on the next pass :) ):
