This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Great, I am on Central time. If we need to move it up we should, because they are so much fun.

I'm madly doing laundry now. I'll take the girls to the kennel early in the morning and catch a train to the Bay Area, spend a night with my dad, and fly to Seattle Saturday mid-day.
We have had some really nice chats this year! I love getting to know everyone better every year. I'll see if I can sneak the laptop into the reception, at least! The bride is a dog-lover: she'd understand!!!!

AKKK! yes. I am pretending I'm not. If I wasn't so happy for my sister in law, I would not be doing this. As it is, I'm very miffed with my hubby who said he could get enough time off work to take the train all the way... I'll be fine tonight, but am expecting nightmare's tomorrow.
