Iditarod 2018 discussion

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Last night, while I was in chat, I was also emailing a customer/friend from AK that lives by Paul Gebhardt. Towards the end, he emailed saying:

"Paul just called me he is in Seattle in a apartment like you said with his daughter he had bone cancer finished up treatments he said today he is felling better and should be home 3 to 4 weeks he said his top dogs are in the race dont remember the mushers name he is in 5th place i hope he dose well i had a good long talk with Paul he sounds good"

I'm guessing the musher with Paul's dogs might be Pete Kaiser?

Thanks for that ikh - a really good spot to see that - over 30 of the mushers between Grayling and Kaltag at the moment.

Happy to know it's not a dog or musher issue at play with Jeff.

Good article on Nic. Love the bit of teasing from Sebastian.
