This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. I started to search but I got too much of that flood of posts from p e t a so I got frustrated and stopped searching. That's a shame, since their "DOS" attack kind of works
DOS = denial of service used when someone are overloading services making them unavailable..

Race director says b/c of lack of sea ice, trail between Shaktoolik and Koyuk will be moved closer to the shoreline, adding roughly 7-8 miles to trail.

At annual meeting w/ reporters + media crews, race director says there will be security cameras added to some checkpoints along the trail. “If you see something, I want you to say something,” he tells the room.
