Dallas is leading Finnmarksløpet, and he is on his way to Neiden.
Unfortunately two good mushers were ill when arriving at cp Levajok. Ola Brennodden Sunde and last year's winner Petter Jahnsen had to scratch.

They both scratched? Bummer.. I heard Ola scratched yesterday.
I don't think is mentioned, but in the junior class, a girl were hit by a snowmobile and were injured so she had to scratch. She is not very injured and no dogs were hit. Still, it's sad

I like that announcer/reporter her English is very good, I was lucky enough to watch her when Dallas was caring for his team.
I was surprised that Dallas' dogs didn't jump up to eat right away. It looked like he even lifted some dogs to their feet.
Is this normal with his team?

The reporter is Nina Skramstad. She is a well known musher in Norway.

That's nice ikh, someone who knows mushing doing the reporting. Makes for better information going out.

Nina is doing a good job.
Dallas is still resting his 16 hours rest. Thomas Wærner will arrive in neiden before Dallas might leave, but if he will rest or not.. time will tell!

From Finnmarksløpet's FB page: "Dallas had to leave 3 dogs behind at cp Neiden. Thomas has passed Dallas going to cp Vaggetem in the Pasvik valley on the border to Russia and Finland"
Thomas and Dallas left Neiden at about same time.
GPS now show that Birgitte Næss has passed Dallas too. She left Neiden more than an hour later...
They are mushing close to Finland and Russia now...
