Was just watching this: https://www.facebook.com/finnmarkslopet ... 6439408456

2 minutes between them at that time. Birgitte still in the lead!

Now 150 meters ahead (7 min. ago) 20 seconds between the two teams:

Nina's pretty wound up :D Telling people they don't have time to go to the toilet.

Another edit update: Tracker now showing Petter has passed Birgitte. What a race!
Dallas is back a bit, in 3rd. Down to 6 dogs.

Live from the finish on FB now: https://www.facebook.com/finnmarkslopet ... 529003456/

Yes, I think this goes to Petter, but very exciting. You can hear she might be rooting for Birgitte  After all, Nina is part of the mushing community.

i'm also notes that Alphashe and I were much better than predicting the finish time than the organisers.. we agreed on close to midnight Friday, the organisers said 16-20 this evening.. We do have some excercise in guesstimating arrival times in Iditarod.. maybe that come handy..

Looks like Dallas had had some problems with his dogs, down to six (that's the lowest number you can have). Looks like Dallas is having higher speed than Kristian.

The live feed for the finish is jerky (on FB). I don't see anything on the main website up and running. Is it my computer?

Ha. Petter just turned around to see where Birgitte is. So close.

Feed working better now.

Yes, it's not good, I guess the problem is in Alta, too poor bandwidth I guess (on the sender part, Alta should have good enough). I'm not able to reach finnmarksløpets web site, too much traffic (I guess).

Feeling bad for the organizers. Timing is everything: )

Such a cool finish line avenue - with the church in the background.

Congratulations to Petter Karlsson!

Hey - the music they are playing for Birgitte's finish (I missed Petter's finish, so don't know if it was the same) is the same music they play at the start/finish of UTMB - Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc - which is an ultra-running race of 105 miles circumnavigating Mt Blanc.

So many parallels. :)

Does anyone know what that piece of music is? I've been wondering.

Not great shot of Birgitte, but this is the avenue I like so much.

Sure would like to know what's being said :D
