Welcome to 2018 Iditabud Fans-sign in here

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

You're welcome :)
lol, they move fast, so have to be quick to just grab and click. When she stopped, I took another picture, which is a bit better, but then she turned her head away.
Tracks come right up beside window. This cow and calf have come through here a couple of times this winter.

They can be very dangerous! Amazing how fast they can be if they want or suspect danger.
Watched them for years and still shocked at the speed/quickness they have. When they lay their ears back and hackles rise, it's time to get away.
Back in the mid 60's, a cow turned and trampled my dog before it could move. They have lightning speed.
Other times, they'll come right up beside you or even take food out of your hand. People always try to feed them which isn't good to do.

There must be an intelligent response to that, but I don't have one. Just smh and wonder about people.

Love the moose pic, Alaska! Probably a relative somewhere down the line. Used to see quite a few here. Not so much anymore.
