At least they responded and during the race at that. I wouldn't have been surprised if they had waited until after the race was long over before releasing any information or decisions about this. Yes, this might just be a face-saving move, but it's more than we've seen in the past.

utter bullshit he should be sacked! if it was a WADA anti doping official doing what he did they would have been and it would have given the athlete chance to appeal and get his dope test thrown out

This is part of the problem, not sure if ITC ever heard of WADA...
