Seems to me that the two teams in front are going more or less at the same speed. Assuming they both arrive in WM without any big troubles, I guess the question is which team are able to restitute best during the stay in WM.

In the start I would say Nicolas has the advantage (he has a higher average speed) but I am not sure any longer.

Looks to me that joar went through Elim, Nicolas is four miles from Elim. If this is true and not just a GPS tracke-mileage-thing I think joar has been slightly faster than Nicolas.

looked at the tracker, they do not go out on the ice, but up in the hills.. so I think the difference between Joar and Nicolas is 6 miles, not 7 (as shown by tracker).

7 minutes :)

I guess he run for an hour perhaps, before resting 2.5 hours on trail and then on to WM. It's 46 miles from Elim to WM, that is 6.5 hours if you're average speed is 7mph.

Nicolas in Elim, he is staying. He used 25 minutes more than Joar from Koyuk.

Seems like they take the hilly trail towards Golovin.. It's a heavy trail this year.

Looks like Joar is doing something similar as he did into iditarod? Then he ran from McGrath to Iditarod with one short rest on trail between Ophir and iditarod.. if I remember correctly. Haven't bothered to check..

nicks tracker not updated for well over an hour so we don't know where he is, the race board not been updated for a while either.

has he left elim or is he resting them will sprint to wm and try and catch joar or has his detour cost him the race?

Nic was resting in Elim, but he is moving now. I estimate his rest in elim to be 2.5 hour.

Mitch is arriving now, so Nic was able to sneak out before Mitch arrived.
