This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

He didn't say a great deal... started to choke up almost immediately when he mentioned his dogs, and quickly shuffled off to avoid the invasion.
I think they said it was his 21st ID.

Awww. I wish I had a pile of money to throw his way. Seems like he's been short on mushing funds for(ever), making it perhaps harder for him to race than some others. I'm so glad to see him back up top.

Cute footage on Kale's FB live for Aaron - worth a watch. A's son, Hunter, is there, and someone's joking about Aaron helping Jessie H get to the start line.

They sure did! Now to go back and watch all the ones that came in while I was asleep. So glad Kale is there - though I guess he leaves today.

Here is Aliy's arrival thanks to Kale Casey
https://www.facebook.com/kalecaseylive/ ... 817391033/Just before the 20min mark she get a bunch of kids to do a group howl. you can hear more howls after they finish, wonder if the dog yard was joining in?
Love how friendly she is to everyone, letting lots of selfies be taken by kiddos and adults. The crowd showed their love for Aliy and Aliy shows it back. Allen was there
A voice from the crowd cheered him as Quest winner and as 3X Quest winner.
All my children have four feet and fur.

She is the absolute best! The dogs look fantastic. Good on SPK! Poor Allen looked like whatever bug got him got him bad and still lingers. Wishing him well. . .and wishing them both a fantastic year until Iditarod 2019! Whoot, whoot!
Wag more, bark less.
