One more time, for the road

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Thanks Breeze for the link, the song comes to mind at the end of every race as it is tradition for the forum. I never really think the race is over until I hear/listen to the song! Of course, some of us just stay and stay and never go away until another race year!
Proud PaPa of the triplet litter; Aidan (B), Bailey (G), and Cameron (B). Cameron is on top in picture; Bailey, of course, is the bowhead!!

Hahaha. Lining up right behind Flower to wrap things up. . .well, sorta wrap things up. Not quite ready to say my good-byes. So, I won't! :D The Percy starts today. I posted a link on its own thread. And I'll be checking in regularly over the coming year. I love my 'buds and am blessed to be a part of the family here. For now, though, I'm going to go back and play The Load Out "one more time" and dance with the four fat turkeys making their way across the front yard. Dilli? Want to join us?

WOW the Iditarod was later in March last year. Kind of weird to spend the Monday after the finish not looking at The Nome Cam for the "load out". Guess that will be Tuesday this year!
