I think you're right, Braider - Brent did oversleep there by about 1.5 hours and was sheepish :)

And I think the musher who got drenched was Hans and he was miserably frozen - after which he "retired" (you know how that goes).

Spotting tracker points, Allen has lost about 20 mins on Brent during this last run (comparing like-points). Brent's an hour out from Two Rivers, with his dogs travelling at a cheerful mostly 7.5-8 mph.

Sass into Twin Rivers with 14 dogs

He has 1:39 on Moore with 13 dogs in

He has 2:20 on Gatt with 8 dogs in

He has 3:10 on Phillips with 9 dogs in

about 70 miles to Fairbanks

It looks like a Monday afternoon finish

This from spkennel

"We’ve had more details from the handler crew in Central – evidently Allen got wet on Birch Creek! The creek was cooler than expected but warmer than usual – if that makes sense. There was significant overflow and shelf ice. Allen tested an area of ice before taking the team over, he put crampons on but fell through the shelf and got wet, but the dogs were just fine! When Allen got to the checkpoint he had to break his boots off as they had so much ice but his feet inside were warm. He always sends extra clothes in drop bags to the ‘after’ side of Birch Creek since his very first Quest experience so he had new boots to change into once he got the wet ones off."

Sounds familiar, eh?

There are some great shots of Hans going over Eagle Summit - a series showing him struggling to the top and then zonked out on the ground upon arrival (could be captioned "I'm too old for this"), plus Michelle passing him and trying to avoid running over his snow hook, since he's right smack in the trail.

Notes:
Brent was the only one who rested in 101 - the other three all took their rest 25 miles earlier in Central.
Hans lost time struggling over Eagle Summit, but made great time from 101 to Two Rivers with his team of 8, even climbing over Rosebud.

Tracker Inspection:

Brent:
Run from Central to 101 (25 miles): 4.5
Rest 101: 4
Run 101 to Two Rivers (39 miles): 6
(Total Run Central to Two Rivers (64 miles): 10 hours 25 mins) (subtracts the 4 hours 9 mins rest at 101)

Allen:
Rest six miles outside Central: 4 (something weird with the tracker - Central shows him as taking those 4 hours in Central?)
Run Central to 101 (25 miles): 4.5
Run 101 to Two Rivers (39 miles): 6.5
(Total Run Central to Two Rivers (64 miles): 11 hours 3 mins) (subtracts the 7 mins he stopped at 101)

Hans:
Run Central to 101 (25 miles): 5.5
Run 101 to Two Rivers (39 miles): 5:45 (great time with 8 dogs!)
(Total Run Central to Two Rivers (64 miles): 11 hours 14 mins) (subtracts the 18 mins he stopped at 101)

Michelle:
Run Central to 101 (25 miles): 4.5
Run 101 to Two Rivers (39 miles): 6:45
(Total Run Central to Two Rivers (64 miles): 11 hours 11 mins) (subtracts the 11 mins she stopped at 101)

The last run is 70 miles, so in theory (looking at the above stats for a 64 mile run) should take them 10.5-11.5 hours? So he could finish some time after 1:30-2pm tomorrow afternoon?

Brent can leave Two Rivers at 2:53 am AKST.
Allen can leave at 6:32.
Hans - 7:13
Michelle - 8:03

Interesting things going on during the night:

Matt may not be going the fastest, but he appears to be steady. He blew through 101 this evening, past
a resting Paige (who didn't leave for another 30 minutes, and seemed to get a rather slow start out of 101).

Denis, appears to be stalled out for the last hour below Eagle Summit, not a good place to be
with a tired team (remember, he did a mammoth 11+ hour run along Birch Creek in one leg and
although he rested 6 hours in Central, his dogs may have decided they aren't so sure about the
way their race is turning out).

Matt:
Rest in Central: 4
Run Central to 101 (25 miles): 4.5
Rest 101: 3 mins (wow - that has got to be the fastest blow through so far!)

Paige:
Rest in Central: 4 hour 50 mins
Run Central to 101 (25 miles): 4.5
Rest 101: 4.5

Denis:
Rest in Central: 6
Run to Eagle Summit: 4 hours
Rest below Eagle Summit: 1 hour 15 mins (so far... I'm going to bed).

Denis stopped at the summit for approximately 2 hours, he is just a couple of miles for 101 mile.

Matt Hall has passed Paige Drobny!

Matt and Paige is just a mile apart.

Brent has left Two Rivers for the last stretch and I think Denis just passed 101 mile.

Sigh. They are just clever. Here the tracking part is in the middle of the link.
Best to use the share function. When you are on a page with an album like this, there are the three dots (like you often have on a smartphone) in the top right corner of the album. If you click there, it will give you a "Give link" button. Which in this case gives you
