Iditarod 2019, furthest to 24h rest, RESULTS are in

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Even though Marcelle hasn't finished her 24 hour rest I think it's safe to look at this one.

The correct answer were Aliy Zirkle, pulled into Iditarod at March 7th 01:38:00.

None had correct musher, but several had Iditarod as checkpoint. Congratulations to braider!
braider were just 01:37 off on the time, Moose were 03:38, good work both of you!

The total list:
braider 21 (cp, time)
Moose 19 (cp, time)
txbennett 13 (cp, time)
sc-race-fan 10 (cp)

That's quite shocking to me - I'll be scratching my head about this one for a while. :)

Not surprised no one picked Aliy. She fooled us all with that unexpected move.

It will be interesting to see if her late Mandatory rests will give her less rest time on the coast and she will catch and pass some folks.
Proud PaPa of the triplet litter; Aidan (B), Bailey (G), and Cameron (B). Cameron is on top in picture; Bailey, of course, is the bowhead!!

I've always wanted Aliy to win but even more so after watching that show on Netflix.
