This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!
Watched a video of Lance, one of Kale's, he was putting ointment on the dogs feet, bet that helps his hands as well. Also the warm weather was a blessing for Lance.
Edit to say I tried to find that video but no luck.
Will/can any of you smart finders find some photos from the shore/ice between Shaktoolik and Koyuk? After seeing the lack of ice and amount of water there near Nome I got to wondering what that other area looked like. I know they talked about jumbled ice and the trail changing because of that. Thanks!
