Ophir - Iditarod - Shageluk

Aliy is camped out 35 miles past Ophir - about a third of the way to ID, guessing at one of the two shelter cabins along the way. According to the tracker, she's been stopped there an hour, so I'd expect her to maybe rest another 3 before moving on (about 6:30 AK).

Berington Twins just showed up in Ophir. Kristy's tracker has stopped (green) just outside the checkpoint - I'm guessing the tracker people are snagging them to replace the batteries and then return them to the musher - which would suggest a 24 hour layover - so they have plenty of time to get them back to the mushers.

Took one last peek at the standings. Second team out of Ophir: Martin Buser, after 6 hours 11 mins rest. Now, good night. Really this time.

Wow... I suspected Martin was going beyond Ophir, then it looked like I was wrong, he has 24'd in Ophir before. After his 6+hr stop ...there he goes. I think the weather/conditions might play big in the nest few day/s, but it's still a long way to Nome ...and Martin was over 10 hours behind Aliy leaving Ophir.

Hmm, did he really need to rest 6+ hours just to get over to ID - esp. if he is taking his 24 there?
Does that mean he's actually going to keep going through ID and 24 in Shageluk?
