This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Absolutely Libby.
Lets keep checking in to our forum (and others) throughout the year to see how (and if) "things" evolve following this year's Iditarod and the changes in the ITC Board. It may be interesting! Respect and appreciation for (and from) the fans could lead to a larger fan base which would mean more exposure for the sponsors and more money for ITC and other races (and kennels) and larger purses for the mushers, etc.
Fantasy Mushing now has a facebook page and there is already a facebook page for Yukon Quest 2020.

Our European 'buds, mushkraut and mira both reported not being able to see/read some of the news articles because of that ban ( which I do not understand). Why are news articles being kept from the over the pond folks?
All my children have four feet and fur.

I can answer that. In Europe we have something called GDPR, which is a EU law considering data protection and privacy for persons. It also regulates about exporting (electronical) personal information outside EU.
It appears that some (especial) news sites way of dealing with this is to check IP-addresses and if something appears to be an european address they just don't give access so they don't have to oblige to the regulations.
